HOW TO CLEAN YOUR MULTIPURPOSE ATHLETIC SURFACE

Designed for demanding applications, polyurethane and high-performance rubber athletic surfaces are ideal for high-impact areas. But that also means high-traffic and heavy competition and lots of dirt and sweat. Your indoor volleyball and basketball court, weight room, gymnasium or exercise facility requires a consistent cleaning schedule so that dirt and grime do not build up. Postponing or ignoring regular maintenance will not only make cleaning much more difficult, it may also affect the life of the floor.

Note: If dirt and scuff marks are left to build up on the floor it will make cleaning very difficult.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE

Regular maintenance includes sweeping on a daily basis to minimize dirt buildup on the surface. High-traffic areas may have to be swept more often; however, the entire surface should be swept at least once daily. The surface also requires regular washing. The frequency of cleansing depends on traffic, the number of programs and special events on the surface. It is recommended that the entire surface be washed on a regular basis, no less than once per week. Using Rebound, which is specifically formulated for your athletic flooring, will clean any polyurethane or natural rubber athletic surface to like-new condition. Do not use solvents, such as toluene, xylene, MEK or gasoline for spot removal.
